Welcome!  I suppose the idea behind starting this blog is mainly to supplement (not replace) the updates on our adventures that I post on our website.  I guess there were a few things that inspired me to do so. 

One of which being the fact that I haven’t really been updating our regular page with much info on Josh recently (kind of a ‘reverse’ second-child syndrome thing).  He does lots of funny little things and we take so many pictures of him (and Ryley, of course), but I find I just sit on them until my ‘next update’.  Here I hope to perhaps do a little post here and there, between the ‘big’ posts and galleries on the other site, with little bits of info to keep everyone ‘in the loop’ as it were.

The second reason is that I just took a full-day photography workshop with Sacha Blackburne, and (at least for now) I’m inspired to take a few more photos and perhaps share them a little more often.  We’ll see how long I can keep that up!  I just want to keep practicing all the stuff she taught me and become a better photographer – hopefully you’ll see my photos improve over time!

Anyway, here are a few pics of our silly kids – making good use of our playhouse / swingset in the backyard!  I think there will be many a photo taken out there this summer…

(Yes, Sacha – need to work on the composition!  But take solace in knowing these were taken in “manual mode” with hardly any test shots required!  What a good teacher!)
