Our trip to Philly & NYC unfortunately came at the price of missing the usual Canadians in Bermuda Canada Day beach party – always a good time, I’m sure this year was no exception (I heard the weather was ideal this year). Nevertheless, we had the kids don their Canadian colors on July 1st for a few photos!
We’ve had some very nice summer weather since we’ve been back as well, Ryley’s been able to model a bunch of cute little swimsuits and Josh has had his share of fun in the kiddy pool in the backyard.
We went down to the beach on July 4th, the Americans always put on some fireworks. Our friend Lori brought along some sparklers to play with, I managed to catch this interesting photo of her spelling ‘2010’, even if I didn’t catch it fully in the frame…
I thought it would be a fun thing to be able to watch movies in the backyard during the summer months while it’s nice and warm outside in the evenings, so I got some supplies to build a screen, stole a projector from our office, and set up a theatre in our backyard, using the laptop and projector in the swingset’s fort as a ‘projector room’ of sorts. It worked out well, there was a nice ambiance with the Tiki torches aglow nearby… the photo doesn’t do it justice! More of those movie nights to come!
