Jenn and I took the kids over to Philadelphia and New York City for a week or so at the end of June, it was a busy holiday but an enjoyable one nonetheless.  I think we worked pretty hard to keep the kids happy and entertained throughout the holiday, luckily our efforts proved successful and we all had some fun.  It was easy to entertain the kids in Philly as we were there with a few friends with kids of a similar age, plus we spent lots of time at Sesame Place!  New York was a bit more of an effort but we pulled it off (I think).

In any case, I made an effort to take lots of photos, and between Jenn and I we took around 800 photos or something while away, I’ve whittled it down to about 110 in our gallery and I’ve chosen a few of my favorites to display below… hope you like!

Josh had his own camera out every once in a while, too!

Sesame Place all sorts of rides, there were also several pools and ‘wet rides’ like waterslides and a Lazy River (which Josh loved).
Kids on the carousel…
I found this hat for Ryley at Old Navy (yes me, not Jenn!)… our friends’ daughter, Sloane, has one just like it and it’s absolutely adorable on her, I thought it would be only fair to introduce a little competition!
I think Josh was a little tired in the picture above – he’s sitting on a bench in the Central Park Zoo looking rather worn out and perhaps a little homesick!
View of Central Park from the “Top of the Rock”… we sailed some remote controlled sailboats on one of the little lakes they have in there, it was a great spot to stop for lunch!
Josh fell asleep on the sightseeing bus before we got to our last stop at Rockefeller Place.  We wanted to go up to the observation deck, so we put our little sleeping boy in the stroller to rest while we finished up our sightseeing for the day!  I put him in the position you see above, with the Empire State Building in focus between two pieces of glass that serve as safety barriers along the edge of 30 Rock’s observation deck.  Clever, eh?
