Seems a little later than usual this year that we would venture down to the beach, but I suppose we’ve been here long enough to be ‘Bermudianized’ in that hardly any locals go to the beach or in the water until at least May 24th (long weekend here).  We still were ahead of that, but not by much!

This being Good Friday, the reason for the beach adventure was to fly a kite as is tradition around these parts.  So, that’s what we did – though we didn’t make our kites, we opted for a store-bought kite, which Josh enjoyed flying on his own for a bit!

The Gombey dancers made an appearance at the beach, which the kids enjoyed for a few minutes.

We found a few friends down there as well – Josh and buddy Ethan were having fun running in and out of the waves!  Guess the water wasn’t too bad…

Nice sand chair, Ryley… looks (sorta) comfy.

Helping a beach neighbor with their sand sculpture of a turtle – she’s so helpful!

Busy day at the beach = one tuckered out kid.  Didn’t even make it to the car in the parking lot!  Good times…
