Just a quick post from our Easter weekend – and what turned out to be our first outing to the beach in 2012! As is tradition here in Bermuda, we took our kites down to Horseshoe Bay beach on Good Friday. It was a nice warm day with some decent kite-flying wind!
The kids were excited to hit the beach, Josh even carried some of the gear down for us (first time ever)! Ryley had got a Barbie kite from a friend’s birthday party not long before Easter and Jenn got Josh a nice big Parrot kite this year.
Daddy only got the kite stuck in a tree once… Mom was the better kite flyer on this day!
Some good helpers, participating in the kite launching / flying…
On Saturday, we went over to Windreach for the first of about four egg hunts the kids participated in over the weekend –
Of course, the Easter Bunny found us so we had an egg hunt (and scavenger hunt!) in the house on Sunday morning.
Josh had recently watched most of the Star Wars movies, he especially thought that Anakin Skywalker was a pretty cool kid when he was around Josh’s age – Jenn surprised him with a little Jedi costume (which he wore pretty much the rest of the day after that), and Ryley got a little Hello Kitty camera (as she loves taking pictures).
We took the kids on a little adventure to Dockyard to try to wear off some of that Easter candy, we had some fun at the playground and checked out the dolphins, all the while Josh was practicing his cool Jedi moves.
We had Fran and her Dad (with Sam & Jasper, of course) over for dinner that evening; another egg hunt or two were held out in the yard. Some spoiled kids here!
Ryley finished off the evening with a few drinks and some Karaoke…!
Hope everyone had a happy Easter!
