Jenn and I can’t believe Josh has already finished his first year at Warwick Academy! Where does the time go?! Of course, we had to start the day with a picture before leaving for school – Jenn had him hold a picture I took of him on his first day, then we posed him just like he was in the picture. The things we do for kicks, eh? ;0)
He only had a half day, so I took the afternoon off work and we set off for a fun afternoon to celebrate the beginning of summer holidays! Here he is on the bike on the way to town where we went to the Pickled Onion for lunch.
He likes coming to my office (I let him play video games on the computer) so we went there for a little bit after lunch, then I suggested that we catch a ferry to Dockyard for some mini-golf at the new facility out there, much to his approval.
I learned after I suggested we go out to play mini golf that that Josh had actually told his teachers that he wanted to have lunch at the Pickled Onion and play Mini Golf at Dockyard, and had written it in a workbook he was working on the day before! Great minds think alike, they say…
To finish the day off, we came back to town on the ferry and then met Ryley and Jenn for sushi as part of a reward for her being a good sleeper (bit of a relapse with her sleep training, long story… but back on track now!).
Josh and I had a really fun day together, we were both beat by the time we got home. A great end to a great first year at school!
