The kids’ Sports Days are here again this year, signalling the beginning of the end of the school year!  Ryley had hers first on May 2nd, it will be her last at the BBA as next year she will be at Warwick Academy with her big brother!

Ryley’s running form has improved much from last year, in my opinion.  She did great in her races and (mostly) kept her spirits high!  She gets a little clingy when she first sees Jenn or I but soon gets caught up in the excitement of the afternoon.

Getting some last-minute advice from Mommy…

Ryley had lots of fun!  It was funny to see her trademark tongue sticking out when zipping down the track.  She is getting good about letting Jenn do her hair in the morning (some days) so today she was sporting a fancy braid with lots of different colored ties!  Might as well look good while waiting for her classmates to finish up.

Classic Roo – tongue out, hands in the air, taking in the adoring crowd.  Good job, honey!

Josh’s sports day today was pretty fun, too.  They did seven events, and he did great in all of them!  Unfortunately the first event, tee-ball, didn’t work out for him – his ‘practice’ shot went a mile past what was the eventual winner, but that one didn’t count… and he flubbed his second shot.  He didn’t let it get to him, though, he kept a smile on his face, which was great to see.

First place (they give stickers in every heat)!  Not too shabby.

Good times with good buds.

Pretty impressive card at the end of the day…

And your official winners of the day were the Rhodes team (Josh’s red team)!  Good efforts put in by all on this very warm afternoon.  Until next year!
