The Kodiaks have had a good start to their season, with wins in both of their first two games. This week, however, they were up against the more formidable PHC Blacks team.
We put up a decent fight, but had a hard time getting any momentum against their stingy defense. Freddy managed to score the Kodiaks’ lone goal after a good pass up from Josh through a bit of a crowd, but it wasn’t enough to keep up with the 8-goal effort of the other team.
There were some really decent battles for the ball – lots of tough tackles from both sides. What was great to see though, as was pointed out by Coach Nic, was how our boys didn’t get down and give up. Smiles abound, they played until the end, supporting each other.
So despite the 8-1 loss, it was still an entertaining game – hopefully next game we’ll get a few more bounces our way.
