Our young Kodiaks were at it again today, this time their opponent was the BAA White team, played at the perfectly flat and astro-turfed BAA field.
They showed a few jitters in the first third, likely due to this being their first away game of the season! Plus it was likely a little disconcerting to play on such a uniform pitch… the Warwick Academy field is all they’ve known for three years! The BAA team played aggressive and didn’t give much room at all.

After a pep talk from Coach Nic at the first break, we were battling back in our usual form, with some more spirited counter-attacks and more aggressive play. Our efforts, however, didn’t result in many shots on their net! The other team was effective at shutting down our attacks, usually before they got started.

Once again, our boys didn’t give up and were smiling right up until the final whistle, even though there were on the wrong end of a 6-0 score.

The boys are proving to be loads of fun to watch (and take pictures of), the parents are always impressed with their level of play! They are always improving, the goals and wins will surely come!
Until next game…!
