The Kodiaks were back for their final game of 2014 today against the PHC Whites team, their second road game this season.  We were hoping to stop a 2-game losing streak and get back above .500!  Rumors were abound that the PHC team’s morale was a little down due to a big loss last week and the departure of one of their best players, so we were looking to take advantage.

We came out strong in the first half, Josh and the other ‘mids’ and strikers were putting lots of pressure on their opponents, a few good scoring chances came about as a result but no goals.

Josh had several good rushes up the wing, we’ll just need to work on his left foot cross to get that ball to the middle with a little gusto!  His game is really progressing this year so far for sure, Coach Nic is getting him to run with the ball a lot more rather than just shoot it away right away, which is great.

Anyway, our boys kept pushing and were able to finally break the tie later in the game with a goal by Callum, while Nate would add a second goal near the end of the game for a little insurance.  These two goals were the only ones scored in the game, returning the Kodiaks to a winning record (3 wins, 2 losses).

Another fun game to watch… see you on the pitch in 2015!
