The Kodiaks were back from their Christmas holidays, fresh and ready to get down to business. Our first game of the 2015 was against the Paget Titans, whom they played in the season opener and first-ever game back in October. We came away with a 6-4 win, and Josh had scored his first goal that game as well! Surely the Titans would be out for revenge today.
I wasn’t sure if the cooler weather would slow anyone down, but it was quickly forgotten (except by the boys on the sidelines) – both teams came out strong and hungry for a win.
Josh is having fun zipping up and down the left side of the field in his ‘left-mid’ position, and is getting on well with his skills and keeping opponents off the ball!
The Titans were a little aggressive on their tackles at times, though – Josh unfortunately got the brunt of a hard missed tackle right to the ankle. But after a few tears and some ‘Magic Spray’, he was back up and ready to play.
The Titans would get a few goals, but Freddie and Tom scored two each to keep the Kodiaks on top 4-2 for the win!
Another entertaining game – just keeps getting better! I always look forward to Saturday morning football. Until next time…
