The Kodiaks were back in action again on this very, very wet and soggy Saturday morning!  Thankfully it wasn’t too cold today, but we hadn’t seen rain like this in… well, about a week or so.  But still.  Coach Nic, being from the UK, naturally was all smiles today as the weather reminded him of playing at home.

(And where is the recap of Game #8 you ask?  Josh unfortunately missed the Kodiaks’ game #8 against PHC White on Feb. 21st as he was away in Canada – I went to watch the boys win 2-0.)

Anyway – today’s match: the BHS girls’ under-10 team.  It sounded like the girls have had a bit of a rough go as of late, losing matches against other younger boys teams, and the Kodiaks were hoping to keep that trend going!

It took the Kodiaks a little bit to get their momentum, likely due to some intimidation factor, as nearly all the girls towered over the majority of the boys on the team – it wasn’t as easy for the boys to push anyone off the ball!

But like the rain, the boys didn’t let up, and eventually started putting the ball in the net, with Freddie leading the charge.  Josh had another steady game, he’s playing well in the mid-field position and does a great job at both ends of the field.

The Kodiaks ended up on the winning end of a 7-1 score, with goals from several very wet little footballers – Freddie, Youenn, Matthieu, Luke, and Tom!

One more game to go this season… go Kodiaks!
