Josh was happy to be able to participate in this year’s BSSF Primary School Cross Country Race, which involved selected kids from all over the entire island!  Josh had a few races at school as a tryout for the Warwick team, he did well to make it – there are some fast kids in his year!

I’m not sure how many kids there were in total in his age group, but there seemed to be a lot – we’ll say at least one hundred or so, likely a few more.  All raring to go!

The race was a mile long – they started the race in the National stadium, doing just over one lap and then headed into the Arboretum across the street for the ‘cross country’ portion of the race.  Then back to the stadium for another 3/4 lap or so to finish up!

Josh told us he felt good during the race – here you see him making some moves on some of the kids near the front of the race…

…he ended up taking an impressive 12th overall with his time of 9:19!  We were so proud, he had a great race!  A few of his classmates finished ahead of him so his school did well in the points standings.  Go Warwick Academy!

Great race, Josh – now go and put your feet up after a job well done.  Need to keep your form for the upcoming kids racing series (the Telford Mile, Dash at Dark, and Round the Grounds)!
