Ah, Easter time is upon us again this year, complete with all the Easter-y stuff that comes with it!

For instance, there’s the annual Warwick Academy kite flying day (though there wasn’t much breeze to fly a kite with!), and the fish cakes on a raisin bun are always something to look forward to.

However in a break from the norm, instead of heading to the beach to fly a kite on Good Friday, we checked into the Tucker’s Point Hotel for a bit of a ‘staycation’ from Thursday evening through Saturday.

Nice view in the morning… and a big breakfast!

A little swimming in the pool and in the giant bathtub!

A little kite-flying was of course in order… it was Easter, after all!  Josh and I spent a little time on the course while Jenn and Ryley hung out flying a kite.

Tucker’s held an Easter egg hunt on the driving range again this year – there wasn’t quite as many chocolate eggs hiding in the bushes as the last one, but still enough to satisfy my annual creme egg craving!

We were back at ours in time to go to sleep and have the Easter bunny come and find us overnight!  The kids were happy to find a pile of chocolate on the kitchen table and were quick to set off around the house to find more chocolate goodies.  The Easter bunny was a little more diligent this year in hiding them, there weren’t any obvious ones and the kids took a little longer than in the past to find them all (we were assume they were all found…)!

Ryley was keen to do a few activities with mom – Rice Krispie bunnies were a yummy treat (like we needed more treats!), and a fancy flowerpot decorated with some broken china (they had fun breaking up dishes with a hammer).  She’s always keen on crafts!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter this year!
