Skating at Rockefeller Plaza
We had a great Christmas in Bermuda, but had decided that we should do another trip to New York, this time for New Years Eve! We had been on a similar trip in 2014, but figured that we’d do it again. This year we went a few days later than last time – rather than rush out on Boxing Day, we chilled out for a few days before leaving, then hung out in NYC through the New Year.
New York was a bit brisk as compared to Bermuda, and while the first day was cold and rainy all day, we generally had no trouble walking (or cabbing) around to various spots around Manhattan. Highlights included a boat tour which got us nice and close to the Statue of Liberty, attending a production of Wicked and also the Rockettes! Skating at Rockefeller Center under the big Christmas tree was on our list, too, and we had a few fun meals at Ninja and Benihana.
Now, you’d think that NYC + New Year’s eve = party… but no, my friends. 2 Million people in Times Square + us & 2 kids = party in the hotel room! We were all tuckered from our adventures so the kids were asleep when the ball dropped.
Hopefully everyone had a great holiday season and Happy New Year!
