Fancy birthday dinner

Edging ever closer to the teens, our Ryley Roozle is now 12! This year Josh surpassed Jenn in height, and Ryley might be quickly behind him – this past year she’s grown 4 inches and has just over 4 more to go to catch up to Jenn. Will she do it by next year? Place your bets!

Some things have changed over the last year, but much remains the same. Ryley continues to do well in school, her teachers generally sing her praises and leave us wondering if they are talking about the same kid… 😉 (Ok, she’s pretty good, though we have our ups and downs!) She’s still very much into playing soccer (her coach is awesome and keeps it fun!), and continues to take two dance classes per week (modern and street style). I think her favorite part is the year-end performance at city hall, she’s definitely more excited about that then the weekly practices. There were no big drama performances this year (Covid) but she was in drama club at school… the singing and dancing at home continue on the regular!

We did the annual House of India dinner on her request, with some homemade cake for dessert. This year’s birthday party was a sleepover at Tucker’s Point with a her long-time friend Ella and bestie Freya. Jenn chauffered them around to the Beach club, pool, a fancy supper, staying up late in the swanky hotel room… sounded like they had a blast! (Also, dads were not allowed. 🙁 )

Enjoy your last year as a pre-teenager! Happy 12th birthday, Ryley!
