Happy Birthday!

Josh has completed his first full year as a teenager, I think it’s been going well so far…! He’s had a little growth spurt and officially is now taller than Jenn, by nearly 2 inches! (It was a good run, had to come to an end at some point.) Now he’s got me in his sights, but he’s got a little ways to go before that happens. 😉

School was pretty managable for him for the rest of Year 9; I think year 10 will prove to be a bit more challenging for him this year. Maybe not so much the actual school work but more like other things (mainly video games / online socializing) pulling focus! He has given up on soccer as the coaches take it a bit too seriously, but he’s still loving roller hockey, and he’s giving volleyball a go as well, which is cool.

On his birthday he had a few of his friends over for some backyard camping / campfire, and of course the obligatory video games, etc – nice and low key, just the way we like it! I’m sure all birthdays through the teen years will be this easy, right?
